ARMOURBITE® TECH PERFORMANCE MOUTHGUARDS

Competitive sports, like football and hockey, can threaten your oral health. A mouthguard can reduce your risk for broken or knocked out teeth, as well as lacerations on the inside of your mouth. We proudly offer ArmourBite® mouthguards by Under Armour®. Not only do these devices reduce stress on your face and jaw with individual customization, they also improve oxygen intake for better athletic performance.

REALINE™

If you have minor orthodontic issues or small gaps between your front teeth, you may be a good candidate for Realine™. Dr. Chow will provide you with a set of five custom-made aligner trays. These clear trays will inconspicuously straighten your smile, and are more comfortable than traditional orthodontic appliances. If you follow the treatment directions, you can enjoy a more symmetrical smile, in as little as ten weeks, depending on your particular case.

Therapeutic Dental Appliances

  • What therapeutic dental appliances does Parkway Dental of Clinton offer?

Parkway Dental of Clinton offers custom night guards and appliances to treat TMD (temporomandibular disorders). Each appliance is made specifically for your mouth, so it fits comfortably and does its job better than a generic, store-bought option.

  • Why would I need a custom night guard instead of a store-bought one?

A night guard made for your teeth fits securely and comfortably, which makes it easier to wear every night. It helps protect your teeth from wear, chips, and cracks caused by grinding or clenching while you sleep.

  • What is TMD, and can a dental appliance help?

TMD refers to problems with the temporomandibular joint and the muscles that control your jaw. Symptoms can include jaw pain, clicking or popping, headaches, and difficulty chewing. A custom TMD appliance can help relieve stress on the jaw joint and surrounding muscles.

  • How do I know if I need a night guard or TMD appliance?

Common signs include waking up with a sore jaw or headache, worn or chipped teeth, tooth sensitivity, and jaw clicking or popping. Dr. Chow can examine your teeth and jaw and recommend the right appliance for you.

  • Are therapeutic dental appliances covered by insurance?

Coverage varies by plan and appliance type. The best way to know your coverage for a night guard or TMD appliance is to ask during your consultation at Parkway Dental of Clinton.
